I have been wanting a cast iron tea kettle, for years. I would love to have one full of water, on the campfire all the time. BUT, I am concerned about the cast iron rusting, with water inside of it all the time. Was wondering if anyone uses a cast iron tea kettle, and if you have any problems. I imagine if you let it dry well, before storing, it would be fine...but not sure.

This is the one I'm wanting:

I remember grandma running a little vinegar water thru hers to remove the lime. There were 3 -4 fairly large stones she left in there permanently.
It was a site to see this 87 pound fraile little woman swirling that kettle in the air causing the stones to scrub the inside of the kettle. She would dump it out and rinse kettle and stones drop the stones back in the kettle and it was good to go for a few more weeks
