Well I was cleaning out Mike's mom's attic and look what I found. Enameled iron. No one seems to know where they came from or who owned them., Barely used if at all.

I have never used enameled anything so I hope they don't stick. :twisted:

I f they are enameled inside too they should not stick but they might5 stain from berry juice and such as in cobbler

Wow What A Find!! Lodge still sells the enameled iron. A bit pricey though. :shock:

the new enameled stuff is all the rage on the cooking shows.Paula Dean has some at Walmart.

I have several of Lodge's enamel pieces. Love them!

Sticking is not a problem and they are remarkably resistant to staining.

Auntie M,

I have a LeCreuset enameled DO for going on 25 years. It is all stained and chipped from use. The edge of the pot and the edge of the lid are where chips happen. The exposed cast iron rusts. The superficial stains are from burned on stuff that scrubbed off but left its mark. It's just a big soup pot, and sometimes a casserole pot.

The outside is stained too...from burned on oil or grease. The stain does not come off.

Your find is a really nice set. Gotta be worth a whole lot more unused than used...on Ebay.
