Doh!

I was at the swap meet last Sunday looking for folding metal legs to build myself a low cooking table for charcoal briquettes and three Dutch ovens at a time. I was going to go buy a $50+ piece of 3/8' thick aluminum diamond plate for the top at the scrap dealer then bolt the folding legs on. I told that to a vender friend and he said, "Why don't you just give me a dollar for this heavy duty metal typing stand." :duh: DOh! I had been looking right at it and didn't even think about it!

I took the wheels off and it's now the perfect height.

Sorry about the snow.

Cool beans!! I think you could probably rig up a windscreen to go along the back but I wouldn't get too carried away. That metal is probably pretty thin and will burn (rust) through in a couple of seasons of use. Hell, for a dollar it'll be just fine, Prem. Good haul!!

Jeff,

Thanks. Yup. Already have the .024 diamond plate for the windscreen and for riveting on to the rather thick sheet metal table top and wings/leaves as protectors. It'll last 5 years that way.

BTW, nice tie dye. You belong out here in the State of Jefferson, not in the Midwest, dude.
