I found it in a local antique store. In Coyucos CA.

I also found on like it on ebay. for $109 out of hartford, Main. (I think I have been there!)

You are viewing a late 1800's cast iron Warnick & Leibrandt Waffle Iron. It is size 6,7 and is marked Warnick & Leibrandt, Phila. 6,7 inside a bullseye-like pattern on either side. It has a hearts, diamonds, squares, circles, and clubs pattern series inside.

It is small and will need very little work. has an odd wood handle that I will need to remove it flips on it's own Iron pedisal with handle. Quit fun.

don't know how long this site will last

The odd part is We do not think it has been used both sides have little handles that when you flip it get in the way so it will not follow through.

I always wanted one :thumbsup: :lol:
now I do.

Here is a few good pics...... Is this the critter?

This one spins on a center axis over the open hole of a wood burning stove. Those side nubs are the axle and since the hinge side is heavier it rests on the pedistal. Start cooking Hinge to the back then hinge to the front to cook other side. Is the little wood handle you speak of designed to fit over the axle so you can flip it ?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here is mine it rotates side to side instead of front to back and can be raised to rotate on the ball shaped nose so it can be used without interference on a later model stove.
