It was my grand mother's and my dad made waffles on it every Sunday (well almost every Sunday) when I was a kid (I'm redirected now "RETIRED that is"). Loved the waffles. I now have it and use it in the winter as I have a wood burning cook stove in my kitchen. Good luck and happy waffling
