Jim's Cast Iron Collection

Not so much a collection to collect, rather the stuff I use to cook
with. I count up 22 cooking implements and 4 lids. How did I get so much?
In order of use, the items used most in our home are:
12" Lodge round griddle (at least 3 uses/day for toast, grilled
sandwiches, warming tortillas, eggs...) lives on the stove.
7" Wapak skillet (at least 1 use/day breakfast sausage, omlets, etc.).
10" Lodge skillet (usually daily for all manner of dishes).
5" Wagner skillet. (can't think what it gets used for, but it lives
on the stove).
14" pizza pan (once or more per week for pizza or pancakes).
From an Amazon Listmania list that I just set up:

"I love cooking with cast iron. Over the course of 25 years somehow
I've acquired and use all this stuff. No wonder the pots & pans drawer
under my stove is falling apart!"
Four Small Skillets:
1. Lodge Logic L5MS3 5 Inch Miniature Skillet by Lodge
"I have two Lodge and one Wagner 5" (#3), plus a 7" Wapak and a 9" Sydney."
Three Medium Skillets:
2. Lodge Logic L8SK3 10-1/4-Inch Pre-Seasoned Skillet by Lodge Logic
"Two of these- one with grab handle and one without plus a no-name
10" skillet bought at a yard sale."
One Big Skillet:
3. Lodge Logic L10SK3 12-Inch Pre-Seasoned Skillet by Lodge
Two indoor lidded fryers/dutch ovens:
4. Lodge Logic L8DOL3 Pre-Seasoned 5-Quart Dutch Oven with Loop
Handles by Lodge
5. Lodge Logic 3-Quart Pre-Seasoned Chicken Fryer by Lodge Logic
Four griddles (counting the pizza pan):
6. Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Iron Griddle by Lodge Logic
7. Lodge Logic LPG13 Pro 20-by-10-7/16-Inch Cast-Iron
Grill/Griddle by Lodge Logic
8. Lodge Pro Logic Cast-Iron 14-Inch Pizza Pan by Lodge
"In addition to being a great pizza pan, this thing is awesome for
use as a griddle over a big wide burner."
9. Lodge Logic P12RG3 Pre-Seasoned 12-Inch Round Griddle by Lodge Logic
"Apparently these are out of production."
Two trivets and a grill pan:
10. Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned 8-Inch Cast-Iron Meat Rack/Trivet by
Lodge. I have two of these.
11. Lodge Logic 11-1/4-Inch Pre-Seasoned Grill Pan by Lodge Logic
"Nice if you want grill marks when cooking indoors- but it works
best if you get it VERY hot first. A very good vent fan is a good
idea!"
Two Camp Ovens:
12. Lodge Logic 8-Quart Pre-Seasoned Cast-Iron Camp Dutch Oven by
Lodge Logic
"12" Diameter by 5" deep, this size is great for stew, chili, etc.
The greater depth than the 6 quart 12" camp oven allows much more
usable volume. A bit deep for pizza and many breakfast dishes because
you need a LOT of coals on top to brown thin or small quantity food
items."
13. Lodge Logic 4-Quart Cast-Iron Camp Dutch Oven by Lodge Logic
The list author says:
"Good size for breads, desserts, or entrees for small groups. Note
that the volume measurement is right to the rim, so easily spillable
items like soup will max out at 2-1/2 or 3 quarts if you fill to 1"
below the rim."
Six assorted novelty items:
14. Camp Chef CICS7C Skookie Cast-Iron Skillet Set, Chocolate Chip by Sante
"I have two. Sort of neat idea, but I don't think cookies are the
best thing to cook on these. Maybe fajitas?"
15. Rome's #1705 Square Pie Iron with Steel and Wood Handles by
Rome Industries
16. Lodge Cast Iron 7-Stick Cornstick Pan by Lodge Logic
The list author says:
"Actually the two I have are Wagner, but same basic idea. Make sure
they're sizzling hot and well greased before putting the batter in.
It only takes a few minutes to cook cornbread in these."
