Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

I went to an auction yesterday, and it was running long. I was waiting around for the big cast iron skillet. It was on a table with all this other stuff and I thought they were going to go "choice" on table. Well, they get in a hurry and they sell the whole mess together and I got it! I was going to go $25 for the skillet, but got ALL the skillets for $27.50 !!!

The 12 is Griswold, the 10 is Wagner, the littler ones say "SK Made in USA". I am not familiar with SK but they look okay.

The pot has three legs and a bail, but what are the other two CI objects in the top of the picture?
They are super heavy with thick walls and heavy bases, they are NOT going to blow away !!

Nice buy for sure. It makes standing there all day worth it! The 12" Griswold is worth much more then what you paid for all of it. Enjoy cleaning them up and the first pan full of bacon.......yummmmmm

If the pot has a rounded bottom it may have been made to fit into the opening of old wood burning stoves. The little ones look like they could have been used for melting lead or other metals. Test them before using them.

Yes the pot does have a rounded bottom.

And the two other urn-looking things?
I bet you are right and they have been melting things. I have a buddy that does aluminum casting, I will have to see if he can use them.

It probably looks like this. I found these at an estate sale and could not get them that day. I moved two "out of the way" and came back a day later to find they had moved out all of the things still piled around and they were gone. I suspect they went into a dump along will a couple rusty old DO's I was going to buy also.

This is the answer I got when I posted pictures on Camp-cook.
"They look to be in pretty good shape and should season up nicely. Rust can be removed by soaking in vinegar/water solution. Check close for cracks though. They are American made and pre-1900, I'd say, as evidenced by the "gate mark" (line on the pot bottom). They were cast upside-down and the lifting tab removed by a grinder, leaving the "gate mark". I'd buy them if they are reasonably priced."

The two small round bottom ones could be mortar's of a mortar and pestle set....
