I just found one of the waffle irons that sits on the stove and swivels to flip the waffle over. It is in real good shape, someone has really cleaned it up. He is asking $60, is that a fair price?
Thanks,
Grani

Sounds like it's on the high end of retail. Being cleaned and seasoned and ready to use will add to the value. If it's a Griswold, they bring the most but unless you are in a big hurry I would shop around. I paid 20 bucks for a Griswold a couple years ago and last year I found a Wagner for 10 bucks. Both needed to be cleaned up. So they can be found in the wild.

Thanks, I appreciate your input. It is the 1st one I have found that was on the swivel base and I had no idea what it was worth. I am not in a hurry and actually wasn't even looking for one when I ran across it. I just try to keep an eye out for things some of you might be looking for.
Thanks again!

If they still have it, you can offer them $40.

Thanks Cliff. He is only here on week ends and seems we are always gone then. Hopefully I will see him next week end, (1 week). Between racing and camping and business, we don't seem to have much time, and we are retired.
Thanks again,
Betty

Dose it have a tall base or a short base. I think the tall base irons cost a little more. Also If you would get it from e-bay you can justify the $60. $40. for the iron and $20 for shipping. But you know what this one looks like and with e-bay you just never know.
What I did on the big waffle iron search is get a good one on e-bay it is a good one but then found one for $20. and then one for $5. later on. My luck.

Not so many buyers around here so if he still has it, I will take a picture of it and put it on here.

Thanks BOBHENRY! That is a nice one and looks good. It looks too shallow to do Belgiun waffles but it says there is a recipe for them so guess not.
Thanks, now find me a waffle dog iron.
