cast iron storage

Postby bobhenry » Wed Feb 02, 2022 9:28 am

I think I have improved on cast iron storage. a 6 inch wide space by 28 inches tall by 12 inches deep netted storage for 4 large skillets ( one a chicken fryer ) and two lids nested in the skillets.

Although Bob's dwelling is technically a trailer, it hasn't moved in years and I don't believe he has any plans to do such a thing. Therefore... security of the pans is accomplished by gravity and noise reduction is accomplished by using care whilst placing them into the rack.

Nice work, Bob! :applause:

I've never met Bob, but judging from his picture, I'd say he's fairly strong, and so I imagine the threat to a would-be burglar of being hit by one of those pans provides adequate security.

We may need to stage an intervention over his beer choices though...

After the third one, it doesn't matter too much.

Once in my much younger days I had to set up a meeting between some vice-presidents of Anheuser-Busch and some senior technical advisors for the Air Force (meeting at Scott AFB, just across the river). One VP told us that Anheuser-Busch had an emergency plan where they would use their facilities to bottle purified water (this was so long ago bottled water wasn't much of a thing), and they would like to coordinate with the Air Force so they could ship it to disaster areas around the world. I asked him if he wasn't afraid water in a beer can might be confused with Coors light, which he seemed to appreciate.

Might be enough space for one sheet of 1/2 foam to stop the rattle. As to security a small door could be added. In my case should the tiny's ever be relocated they would will be gutted of most removable furnishings prior to the move. However as you can see my little compound is rather extensive. Tractor barn , work shop, and the chicken coop. The three trailers are the caboose, the depot and the platform (patio)

At 315 pounds and still active as any two guys half my age (71) I am blessed. My little used furniture store has become my gym membership. I moved a truck load yesterday in a $270 dollar sale :)

Not leaving unless the land lady throws me out ! Been here 6 years now. My little compound is fairly well filled out. Although the barn and shop were built for her with her investment she allows me to utilize them as needed.

left to right chicken coop, depot, patio (unseen), caboose, tractor barn, and the work shop. All built by little ol me with a few helpers here and there. Even built the fence in the foreground all 465 feet of it.

It only takes 3 of those to get to that point? Lightweight.
