Dean, how many people make it to the Coffee Klatch? I'm not an early morning person so I'll never be up early enough to make it.

Usually the only time I'm up early is the first day of the trip when we leave at 4 or 5am for a long drive. Fortunately David drives since I usually am heading to bed about midnight the night before and finish sleeping while he drives. But then I'm the one doing most of the packing & prep work before we leave.

Martha....actually quite a few make it, but it's not a crowd. Usually the same group, up early before the rest of the camp is up and about, nice quiet early morning chat. Doug

8) Nobody has to get up that early at the IRG....but for those who do a special treat awaits them at the Cookshack where one can find a cup of their favorite morning beverage and goodies to gnosh on. Sometimes we get a surprise like cinnamon rolls, or dutch oven delights brought in. I love doing the early rise, chatting, giving tickets out for early birds, seeing the best hairdos right out of bed, but all of this would be missed if I slept in.

Yes, Wolfgang, you will have to "pace yourself" at this event. There is a lot going on throughout any given day, so wear your stretchy pants and comfortable walking shoes.....in the redwoods there is always time for an afternoon snooze.
TDN

There really are so many events going on...even in the afternoon that no one could do everything.
The only time I realized how many people were in the redwoods was at the couple of pot luck dinners. It was an amazing crowd!
