Dam Gathering April 29-May 2, 2010

Postby cdfnchico » Fri Mar 26, 2010 12:43 am

The Dam Gathering is only a month away!! Kept waiting for a post here when I realized I could go to the "Destinations" link above. Sure enough...there it was...registration all set.

We didn't quite make it to waterproof!! ...or even campable in time for the last one...so we're really looking forward to meeting everyone. Hope to see a bunch of you there!

A lot of folks didn't make it to waterproof the last time. It is a great gathering even in rain. Looking forward to seeing you there and sunny weather.

Postby cuyeda » Fri Mar 26, 2010 3:57 pm

Ok, I'll post it... Who is going to the upcoming Lake Shasta, 17th Dam Gathering (besides the folks above)?

Donna, me and Sassy will be there. Hoping for drier weather(I think after last year anything will be drier) but don't think I'll drive the Volksrod.

What? No Volksrod? It probably won't rain. At least not like last year. Yeah, we plan on being there. With an extra rain fly, just in case.

'Course I also planned on the Glyphs. Might make it late Friday to that.

It's been fairly quiet on this event. Did the rain last year scare everyone away for this year? Everyone reported a good time had by all, but traveling from So. Cal. I am beginning to wonder if there will be more people attending.

You're right Cliff...not a lot of talk about it. It might be because we are sort of getting a late spring. I just got rid of snow the other day and they are predicting more on Sunday. I'm planning on being there. Doug

It's looking like Joanie, the kids and I will be arriving on Saturday from a stop over in Salyer the night before.
I still don't know for sure if I'm working the shutdown that weekend, but I'm banking that I'm not...

With all the weather we've been having, I'll bet the 'water fall' is going strong. ;)

Yaabut... We won't be arriving until late Saturday morning.
Maybe our good friend Gage will shoo people away from that campsite for her?
I'd be willing to bet that she'd put up some extra raffle tickets for that randomless kind act.

Even though I had to leave last year on Saturday afternoon, due to the tear was leaking so bad, Ebony and I WILL be there with a trailer and some rain gear. Just think sun and it will happen, I hope. :worship:

I stuck it out last year despite the rain. Unfortunately I have to move my sister that weekend. I will miss camping with you guys. :(
