money to operate the showers, and a lantern because with only one little light bulb and a very small window the showers are very dark. at least it was in 2010 when we used them

Yes, Eddie, and it is important....
NO RESERVATIONS ARE TAKEN---CAMP SITES ARE ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS.

The campground often fills up in July by late Thursday p.m., or early Friday. If you find an empty site, be sure to go to the entrance booth right away and pay your fee for the night. There is an extra vehicle fee ($5), with a limitation of 2 vehicles per site, 10 person maximum per site. Swimmer's Delight has 6 sites with electrical hook-ups for an additional $8 for use. Pets are $2 per day.

You can find out further information by checking the Humboldt County Parks website, Van Duzen, Swimmer's Delight. If you want to see a bit of what SD looks like, Dean and I have shot a number of videos there. It is a beautiful place, with plenty of riverbar and redwoods.

We decided not to go up because Donna just can't take the time off. Ron we often talk about Montana De Oro we love that place and the little gathering where I became an official SLO Angel and had so many raccoons was a blast.

You will be missed, I talked with Gage last weekend and he will only be there only in spirit like you. He has to stay closer to home too

We will be meeting in the future some where in a TD or Vintage trailer meet.
Sorry you can not come!
I have several people talk about the gatherings in San Luis Obispo county. Wanting me to contact them if we do.
John asked me if I would do one here with him I said I am not good at it.
I have had so many people ask I am beginning to have 2nd thoughts.
Having never worked at organizing one fills me with many questions. I can talk with Steve and ask him what his research came up with.
Is there info on having a gathering site on this forum?
Seem like there should be a How to have a Gathering ... outline of rules, contacts, events, and how to not cross with another gathering.
I have heard that you can announce that you are going to stay at a place at a certain time and others may join you.
Any thoughts?
Ron

Hi Ron, I think a SLO gathering needs its own separate thread for brainstorming and planning. If the timing was right I would be in. Mixing it up a little, Mountain Home State Forest above Porterville used to be free and it had a group site. It's pretty isolated though.

My only problem is my boss will only let me ask off with in a 6 month period. So when I could not ask off for the IRG until I was with in a 6 month window. Via computer only. So if I were in the mix to plan it I may or may not come. But more then likely I would. :NC

But to be looking at the entire Central Coast does allow for more verity. Thanks for the idea.
