I know Pam is going to see her and then end up at my place.
Just had our first Jefferson State gathering. It had 18 tears. It was really nice. very kick back. next one will be in Sept. lots of other gatherings in-between.
to give you an update
I had mentioned to you that I was spending time with my dad during his bladder cancer. Well it is over. He passed away on fathers day.
I am fine. after 4 months of watching him get worse I am glad it is over. He was miserable so I am happy that he isnt suffering anymore.
I am very strong in my faith and it will get me through.
thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.

Oh gosh Eunice, I am so sorry to hear that...and on Father's day at that. My heart hurts for you. I know he is at peace now, with no more pain but it is hard losing your dad no matter what. You are still in my thoughts and prayers.

Eunice,
I'm sorry to hear about your dad. It's a hard time to loose them. My dad's birthday was June 15 so it always was grouped with father's day and my dad was a real flag waving patriot. In 1993 he was suffering with cancer also. On the morning of June 14, I asked him is was going to celebrate Flag Day. My Mother, sister and I were going to do some errands while the hospice sitter was there. He blew my Mother a kiss and we left for about 2 hours. The hospice folks were all there when we returned to break the news of his passing. I think he chose Flag Day to die. Anyway, it is a time of year that can't easily be forgotten. This year I found a self waving flag that played patriotic music to send to my mom.

My thoughts are with you,
Marilyn

Eunice,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and I understand your being "fine" with his passing. I was that way with my grandmother, I took care of her, she had alzheimers.

My dad just got diagnosed with a 35mm tumor on his kidney and yes it was malignant. The surgeon froze it and thawed it and froze it again. The goal is that the freezing will kill the tumor and there won't be any need for chemo. Dad has survived cancer twice already. I'm praying he'll recover this time too.

Like Marilyn Dad's surgery was his birthday, thankfully nothing happened.

On a cheery note I just came back from a single day of camping with the granddaughters. I prefer not to camp in summer in Florida but for the grands I'll make the sacrifice. If you're ever in the area, Ichetucknee Springs is a fun and COOL place to go.

:applause: :applause: Hi Ladies. I pulled the tear out of the back yard to day. I took it to work to do the CPES and some welding on her. She pulled just great. I still have the varnishing to do and the lights and fenders before I can say the exterior is done. I can't remember how to post the pictures again. I don't do it enough to remember. You will have to check my album to see where I'm at on the build. It felt good to see her out of the back yard.I should be campable by July 11th. :D Peg

Hey Ladies! (and you guys, too).

Thanks for remembering me, Becca. I'm still around, though not as often as I'd like. I've been just swamped, at home and at work, but I have been lurking from time to time. Pretty much just read this thread when I can and ignore the rest.

Suanne-So sorry about your daughter, but what a wonderful gift to share a trip to Yellowstone with her. My heart goes out to you.

Eunice-How are you coping? I know you've been down a long, hard road. Hope you're ok.

Amy-KUDOS Lady! You did a beautiful job on "it"!

Mandy-Enjoy the cardboard! I built myself a little box before I started, too. The kids thought I'd lost it when they came home to find me in the living room inside a taped together box.

I know most of you have been battling the heat for a while, now, but we just got our first 70 degree days last week. Now we're in the 90's and I'm melting. Had to actually wash the windshield Saturday because scraping the frost to keep it clean isn't an option any more. Hoping for the first campout this weekend. Looking forward to seeing Pam and Brandi in a couple weeks, too.

I got my shelf repaired. I'm hoping to prime and paint the interior this week, but odds aren't in my favor. I've been busting my butt tearing out sidewalk, and I have to regrade the driveway before I pour new. I'm pretty sure the neighbors are already tired of the "under construction" look, but they should be used to it by now, living by me. Also have to replace the siding I tore off the garage, fit the trim for that and around the windows I replaced and paint the trim I didn't get finished last summer before winter strikes again. Summer is just too dang short!

Enjoy yourselves.
