Lady Tear Droppers, drop in and say "Hello"!

This is where the gals can have their very own discussions...

Glad you got to at least get out a bit Gaelen! Looking forward to the pics...this from me, who went to the Brigham City gathering and didn't take a single one...Had a great time, though. Met a few newbies that hopefully will join the board.

Got all excited about all the produce and brought back 2 cases of peaches. I've been canning for a week! Just gave the last of them away this morning.

Take care everyone.

Sam, I've also been running but I did put a few in my album. I started a thread about the coolest trailer I saw (a two-owner '65 Mostard Yvonne which was in immaculate condition, and had a little turret to give standing head room to one area of the trailer), and it has some of the better pics.

Hello ladies,
Miriam is talking about the approval of the administration to have a Ladies Forum. I thought of it because Joanne's thread is bumped to the top of the General Forum whenever a gal posts there...........so it is popular.

I thought it could be fun to have a cool name for the ladies group............and assign ladies who request a number, much like this group: http://www.sistersonthefly.com/

Sisters on the Fly is unique but they have some pretty firm rules: BE NICE, NO DOGS, NO MEN, NO CHILDREN. Plus that group has a $40 application fee and $40 yearly dues.

The idea I presented to Miriam was that we could first pick a cool name, assign numbers to any gal who wants one, have no dues, and have only one rule: BE NICE.

If you are on board with this idea then please start posting suggestions for a group name for us. If you need some inspiration then just take a peek at the Sister on the Fly site.

Looks like lady teardroppers are off on a new adventure!
All ideas for a name are welcome and thanks in advance,
Barb

Barb, what a great idea! I belong to Sisters on the Fly and you are right...the dues are high. They went up this year. The only problem I have is that the majority of the get togethers are all out West. It would be so cool to have our own little sisterhood.

Ok, here is my first entry for the name:

Sisterhood of the Traveling Teardrops, or SOTTS.

Second:
Women in Tears

With all the cool ladies on this forum, you will get lots of great name suggestions. Thanks for starting this. Way cool.

I'll give this more thought on subsequent dog walks (my quality time to ruminate). Though I enjoy their web page and admire their grit, the NO DOG stipulation makes Sisters on the Fly a non-starter for me. I started camping because of a dog and would not camp without my current one.

Here are some initial thoughts:

Teardropperitas – (perhaps too exclusive - what about standies?)

Camper Chicks - (inclusive, simple)

Glampers (obscure, but "glamping" is a recently-coined phrase from the UK to denote "glamorous camping" -- luxuries small and big that are steps beyond traditional car camping. I'd say moving beyond a tent is inherently glamping.)

This is a fun exercise.

This is a great Idea!

How about "Women in Tears" ?? We can get a logo, and make small plates (I got one at LCG, I don't know what they are called. ) To stick to our teardrops.

Just some thoughts...

Y'all speak up!

How about:
-- SIStears

I do love the trailer pics on the Sisters on the Fly groups website...but their gatherings are like 2800 miles away from me, and I'm with Hiker Chick that the 'no dogs' rule makes them a non-starter for me, too.

But that martini badge does look appealing...we could just have our own. ;)

Hey, what about the 'ChikBuilt' idea from several pages (I think maybe even last summer) ago? I didn't build mine, but I'm sure repairing and modifying the heck outta it, and I'm sure all of us who didn't build can say the same...

I agree. no dogs is a stopper for me also. I like Barb's one rule. be nice

I like the saying Happiness is just a TearDrop away. Maybe that could be used somehow.
