Beautiful pictures Mandy! What kind of camera did you get? How far are those lakes from your home?

I got a polaroid 10 mp camera. I got it as a graduation gift from one of my sisters. Both of the lakes are mountain lakes. Morphy lake is about 3 hours away from Albuquerque. Fenton lake is about 2 hours away from Albuquerque.

This one is Fenton Lake in the Jemez Mountains.

I was just there this Saturday.

Morphy is in the Sangre de Cristo mountains.
This is a view from Morphy.

Hi Ladies!

I know I've been off the forum for a while, but I can finally access the site from work again, so I can catch back up. :applause: :applause:

And I've gotten the itch to do another build mostly I think because I need a project to keep my busy through the long upcoming winter.

Last month was pretty hard on me. My dog Eli got sick and I had to say goodbye to him on 28 Jul. It's getting a little easier, but I'm still very sad about it. He was my sweet boy and only 5 1/2. No dog will ever replace him. My other dog Trance is a little lost too.

So...looking forward to getting back to it and talking with you all.
Shelly

Good to see you again Shelly! So sorry to hear about Eli. :( It's so hard when you lose your beloved pet. He was a young one too. We had to put our precious little girl down almost 3 years ago and I still get teary eyed when I think about it. But we have another little furry ball of energy who will be 3 in December to help us along.

How's Minot? Cold....cold.....colder? :snow

Hi Shelly, So very sorry to hear about your pet. I know how you feel. We lost our cat this year. She was only 4 yrs. when she passed. The best cat I ever had. She didn't know she was a cat. She acted like the dogs. Good luck with your new build. Peg

I went camping this weekend with our church girls group. It was a last minet thing, but I'm glad I went. They needed someone who knew how to camp and teach the girls how to pitch a tent, cook over the fire and how to make a black forest cake in a dutch oven. I had so much fun teaching them. Here is some pics of the trip.

The weather was rainy and we were worried that the camp out would be rained out. look what we were headed to.

They had 2 tents that they rented. Neither of them had any instructions. I had them help me put one tent up and then let them put up the other. They did a great job. :applause:

After we had lunch, Hotdogs over the campfire Yum. We went for a two and a half hour hike. :sweaty:

We had a great time and the girls want to do it again.

shelly I am sorry to hear of your loss. It is the same as losing a relative. My lulu has been gone for 10 years. I love my Rosey but I still miss Lulu. I put together a nice little scrapbook of pictures and I look at it quite often. Time will help

Mandy working with youth is a wonderful thing. You gave them an experience they will never forget. You will be blessed for your efforts.
