Lady Tear Droppers, drop in and say "Hello"!

This is where the gals can have their very own discussions...

Hello, I'm SuZQ (AKA: "Q"),

Not new to the forum but haven't yet introduced myself to the Lady Teardroppers.

Our Tear is almost complete after a year of building in our spare time.

I'm so anxious to get out there and camp but now it will have to wait until another season rolls around as we are in the Northeast and it's gettin' cold. Our friends are also building a Tear so we will have camping buddies. They're at the same stage we are.

Hope I get thru another winter of just dreaming and having the Teardrop fever. It's CrAzY!! This forum helps a lot, just reading everyone's adventures helps ease the pain. (or does it make it worse??, hummm??)

Hope to meet some of you ladies in person next season!

Thanks Eunice & Auntie M,
We used to camp in tents with 6 kids and almost all the time had rain. Uggg! So glad that is over!!! Can't wait for the ease of our Tear!! Kids are almost all grown so it will be much easier.

Q, Welcome! You'll love all the ladies at the teardrop gatherings!! I know I do!!! What's so fun about us is that we ALL built our tears (or helped)and that makes us unique and special. And it gives us that common thread of ... what is it? where you just understand somebody and feel like you've always known them! Pink tools and all!

And BTW. Your tear is beautiful!!!! Great job!!!

Sooo coool!! I actually can't wait to go camping with just lady teardroppers!! I'm no stranger to pulling trailers by myself and I think it would be a blast!!

Any Lady Teardroppers willing to go it alone (with other ladies) in the PA area?? I know some already that won't go without their husbands, I need some that will travel alone. I'd love to go to a gathering with just ladies!!
I have only one daughter and 5 sons so we would love it, her and I!! Maybe a mother daughter weekend??!!

Sorry guys!

I've been a member for several months and just realized I had not introduced myself to the Ladies. I did give a "50 Cent Tour" in the newbies section.

I'm Judy. Retired last November from the USPS and love retirement. I've driven vintage VWs for 30 years and done all my camping with other VWers. But my busses are over 40 years old and, frankly, I get a bit anxious whenever I go on a trip. The little Puck will allow me to camp with the Toyota.

My Reba is just 9ft long and cute as can be. I love decorating her and showing her off. She's suppose to be in a film shoot this Saturday, but the forecast is for rain. We'll see.

I'm hoping to make the December Myrtle Beach campout. I will be down there in November and will scope out the park as I'll be next door at Pirate Land. It would be my first non-VW camping since the National Guard.

Siouxgirl2 wrote:Hello Everyone,

Mandy suggested I drop by as I signed in on the other newbie page. It's great to be here. I'm in the Phoenix area and am anxious to start a build for my daughter and I to use primarily (with occasional husband or friend). I've ordered plans for the Rondack Lodge and can hardly wait for them to get here.

I'm looking forward to chatting with you all and have enjoyed looking through your forum pages.

:rofl2: Having never built a trailer I don't know much but I DO know you need a 5 gallon bucket full of clamps!! And lots of empty jugs to fill with water - so have everyone start saving them for you now.

I haven't yet needed clamps for my rebuild (and probably never will) but I have a serious case of "clamp envy" when I look at the pics around here. I love the ones with pretty color rubber on them. I eye them longingly at the hardware stores but can't spare the money for something I don't really need.

Its a sickness Roberta, next thing you know you will start buying plastic pink flamingos, and teardrip themed party lights.
