Yes that's my new baby. Talked the dealer into free storage until spring too. Got a sweet deal. Nice little set up and well thought out. Excited about getting her. She is big enough but yet still cozy. Shes pretty cute. My little Brutus seems to feel right at home in it as well.

Welcome Roberta to the Forum, been enjoying reading all you gal's posts here to this thread.

Got a message from Manny's girlfriend (the TD's new owner) that they have named her their "Turtle Egg"......ahhhhhh.

Thanks Carol! Very glad to be here. Your new TT is sweet! I think I would go nuts having it in storage until spring and not being able to play with it.

Turtle Egg is a great name. Turtles are one of my favorite things. Especially sea turtles. I have considered painting one on the side of our trailer but not sure how it would come out. It would have to be fairly abstract since I am not very artistic.

Roberta. that is exactly why I went with decals. I am very happy with the results. Only problem not sure what I will do when it needs re-painting.

 Ooh, that looks pretty!! Decals is a great idea. I hadn't thought of that. I will have to check and see if I can still put them on my aluminum if it's not smooth. Mine has "pleats" in it. I have no idea what they are really called but that's what it reminds me of. The vintage style aluminum.

New Teardrop Owner

Postby Lou Drop Inn » Thu Nov 19, 2009 3:54 pm

Hello everyone! I am the new owner of a Teardrop and very excited to get involved with the TearJerkers and any other groups out there. I'm a little new to this forum, so I hope I did the right thing when posting my pics. I do have an album out there.

Anyway, I will be joining the Little Talbot Island group in February for my first "outing" with other Teardroppers -- or whatever you want to call us. What is the correct term, by the way?

I enjoyed the pic of the decal posted by Ken and Eunice -- I have one ordered for my Teardrop as I have named her Lou Drop Inn. I'm hoping to get the decal tonight.

I'll post more pics after this weekend at Kissimmee Prairie State Preserve. Can't wait!!

OK -- so like this is a huge picture of me -- I thought it would be on the sidebar -- I guess I had better read up on the photo posting instructions!

Welcome Lou. We're always happy to see new folks enjoying their teardrop.

I'm afraid I didn't find any openings at Little Talbot so at this point I won't be there. However, I said the same about Anastasia earlier this month and two days before the event some sites opened up.

Carol,
That's a nice standie and you'll really enjoy it.

I still have my td but picked up a 86' Serro Scotty last year. I was surprised how much can fit in a 10' long trailer.

Nice to have a bathroom, be able to move about and I think the dog really likes it too! It was kid tested this summer when each of the younger nieces and my nephew got to have their own night in the Scotty. An upper bunk has got to be a blast when you are young.

Hi Mandy,

It's been a while. I've been busy with knee surgeries, family issues and I finally got back into writing. Currently I'm working on a Romantic suspense novel but we'll see if it's good enough to sell to the publisher. The particular pub I'm targeting has a specific voice they look for in a novel. So, unlike most of my novels, I'm actually writing this one before I have my agent submit a proposal to the publisher.

I've also been working on the family genealogy. Currently, I am trying to research historical histories of the communities they lived in to find out tiny tidbits that help us paint a picture to who these people were. Today I was tracking down the historical account of the 27th Mass Infantry during the Civil War. My great, great, great grandfather enlisted in 1864 and was one of 259 men captured. I've known he was captured, I've known he died in Andersonville from starvation but I didn't know which company he served with and what battle he was engaged and captured in. I also came across some information about who he was as a person from a fellow prisoner of war who survived Andersonville.

Anyway, that probably bores you, sorry.

Hi Lou and welcome aboard! :)

We are practically neighbors...I live in Brandon, FL. You have a cute Teardrop...love the blue color. I hope you enjoy yours as much as we have enjoyed ours. I recently sold my 5x10 Teardrop and bought a 1973 Serro Scotty which needs some TLC inside, but she's campable. Here's a picture of her and my newest used tow vehicle. I just took this picture a few minutes ago outside my office door.

I hope we can camp together one of these days. My husband doesn't camp so it's usually just me.

You will love this forum. The people here are wonderful, talented and treat you like family. It's a brother and sister-hood of campers. I hope you enjoy it.

One thing to remember, to keep everyone happy, take lots of pictures of your campouts. We love seeing pictures of where everybody has been. So again, welcome to the Teardroppers & Tiny Travel Trailers club.
