I really enjoyed my visit with them and also Steve and Kim Cox. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality!

Last weekend was a trip to Kissimmee Prairie State Preserve. Boy, is that out in the boonies! Loved it! I took the bike and teardrop -- I have a couple of pics posted to my album -- I think I am finally getting the hang of posting pictures. That big rig behind my teardrop was a rarity at KPSP -- most campers there were either tenting or pop-up campers. The people across from me were even tent camp on a motorcycle (no trailer) -- and I thought I camped light! The KPSP is thousands of acres of prairie sawgrass and marshland --- about 100 miles of biking trails -- very close to Okechobee (sp?). If you like to be close to the action...this is not the camping area for you. Once I got off 75 and headed across state, there isn't too much besides cattle ranches and orange groves. Coming from the most densely populated county in Florida, it was a pleasant change for me and the weekend went too fast.
By the way, Becca -- I LOVE the Scotty and, yes, I would love to go camping with you some time. So far I have been camping by myself, which is pretty cool also -- like you, I leave my significant other behind. I think he wouldn't mind going, but he is a pain in the @?**$#> so I really have more fun when I go it alone. Don't get me wrong, love him dearly, but well, us gals just need a little space once in awhile, right?

I had been working graveyard as a security guard (with the economy being what it is after 10 months of not working.... it is a JOB!!!!) well, I accepted a new position with my company tonight.... I start training at 6:00am tomorrow....
I'll be guarding Coors Field for the Colorado Rockies.... along with 13 other guards. So.... no more reading time! It will be an 'on the go' position with lots to learn and constant movement!. I am VERY excited about it and wanted to share!
I told them my only request was 2 days off together so I could go teardropping!!!! Not sure how much I can get out of Colorado but at least I can camp here until things turn around!
Share my JOY!!!!
