Wow Peggy, we are just praying for God to give you and your family strength to get through this. I know it can be a horrific time for the care givers. Take time for yourself too.

Ladies, anyone camping this weekend? Not me...County poured a new sidewalk in front of my house and in the process cracked a few pieces off my brand new camper slab I just had poured 2 weeks ago. ( :x me when I saw the slab) So after leaving them a nice note (and yes, it really was nice) and talking to the supervisor on the phone, the County came back the next day and fixed it (not patched it). But now I can't pull the Scotty over it till next Friday. Really happy there were no camping plans this weekend!

No camping for me. I'm redoing the shelving in my tear, cabin and galley, and putting in a litter box for the kitties. We're all going out to the IRG and I'm tired of their box sitting on the bed. So...I'm going to cut a hole into the galley and build a box to surround it with a door for easy access. I'm going to lose a little storage, but hopefully it will be worth it if it works...heading to the store now to pick up supplies.

Dropping in to introduce myself

Postby T@Baker » Fri Jun 25, 2010 11:35 pm

Been lurking here today and see I can easily waste hour upon hour gawking and learning and appreciating and fellowshipping....I'm Crystal and I have a T@B named Daisy. She's bright yellow and you can't miss us. I grew up with TTs, and then when my kids were toddlers we roamed the US with my mom in her MH (summer was hubby's busy season). Mom's health keeps her at home now (she's 85), and I've been tenting it for the last 3-4 years. Decided I wanted a little more comfort, and since I'd been mostly solo camping (2 kids in college, 1 home) that I'd go with a teardrop. Saw the T@B and knew it was for me because I can zip on the add-a-room and hubby and/or kids can come along. That's pretty much happened...I've only been solo once in the past several months. To my surprise, somebody wants to come along now that I have the camper. LOL

More later, it's getting late and the youngest and her friend just came through the front door sayin' "We're sleepin' in the T@B". Guess I better get the bedding out....

Aunti M, it surprises me that when our son is home from college that's where he chooses to sleep. I think it's because he can watch movies as late as he wants and sleep as late as he wants. We have 5 dogs. Yeah, I know, that's 4 too many. lol Actually one of them is his and lives with him. However, they really would rather you not sleep in. The T@B provides a "man cave" for him, although Daisy T@Baker  is decorated pretty feminine. Hey, I let hubby bring his Packers blanket, and I did paint the step black. Those are manly things....

 Funny! When my daughter moved home she moved in mine for a whole winter to show her children she had a right to close a door and expect it to be honored....

Hi Crystal! Your "Daisy" is adorable. When I first thought about getting a small camper, I looked at the T@B's. That extra room sure is convenient. I know you'll like it here...lots of wonderful people!

Hi Everyone,
I'm certainly taking inspiration from this site.
My names Tricia. I'm from British Columbia, Canada.
I just recently took delivery of my Silver Lil Traveler 5x10. It was an unused o8 and I'm still getting it camp ready. No pics yet cause its jammed in a friends driveway with a large trailer and truck obscuring the view.
Glad to be on board.
Tricia

Welcome Tricia.

This is as nice a bunch of people as you will ever meet. Never think a question is too stupid to ask. Or that your answer to one might not be right. We want to hear it all.

Hi everyone!

Postby baltimoregirl » Sat Jul 17, 2010 8:27 am

This is such a great resource and welcoming community. I lurked for a while, reading and learning before joining, so I finally wanted to say hi and thanks.

I just bought a teeny tiny Little Guy Rascal that I'm getting ready to take on a 2 month long round-trip cross-country photo trip. I've traveled a lot by myself, but usually tent or car camping. My trailer is little more than a hard shelled tent on wheels, but it's enough for me! Since I drive a toyota prius I have to keep it as small & light as possible.

I'll post pics soon, and I'll let you all know when my trip blog is up and running. Here's my website: www.janetlittle.com

Thanks again! :)
