Quilting Bee anyone?

This is where the gals can have their very own discussions...

Doug, that quilt is stunning! As for the quilting, that lady does a fantastic job.
I really enjoyed reading the posts and looking at the pics. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Grani

P.S. I started another quilt before Christmas and it is taking me for ever to do it. I should have never tried such a hard one for a beginner. It is one I made up myself and like but it is really tedious work for me.

I just give it to her and tell her to do what you want...I'm always happy with the results and it's all freehand work, no pantograph or stencils.

What in the world are we gonna do with you. You just keep out-doing yourself. Borrowed her picture, I hope she won't mind. Carla does extraordinary work.

Here's a new one that may possible end up in the Road Titan. It's Buffalo Bill themed fabric. Easy pattern to do, lots of larger pieces. I know some others out there are doing some quilting and you must have some pics. Doug

I've jumped to the last page and maybe missed someone's explanation. Why do so many pictures show up on my 'puter as a red X?

Judy the pictures show up as red X's because people post them then take them out of their albums so they are no longer linked.........

I hate that I'm missing them. I'm also a quilter but have no pictures that are digtal.

In a TD, don't you spend alot of time ON the bed? Moving around ON the bed. I would think that would be hard on a quilts seams. How do TDers handle that?

Sorry about that, I regularly dump photos out of my album that aren't getting viewed, as I had like 15 pages of photos. Recently I dumped nearly 70 pics to cut down on it.

As far as wear and tear on a quilt. I don't spend that much time in it other than sleeping and then I'm under it. I make them to be used anyway. Doug

No, no dissing Dougie...a mistake on my part -- I apologize. I should have said you "Ladies and Gentlemen" rock with your quilt making skills.

 Doug I would tell you to leave your quilts in please but  Ok it is too late............If you pass them to me I would be happy to put them on my photobucket and put them back in...........that is if you know where they belong.........

As for wear-----What Doug said. I use a top sheet so the quilt will rarely get touched and the binding will be doubled.............Gotta find room to finish it.

As Promised ~~ From Inspiration ~~ to Drawing ~~ To Quilt Top. It's not quilted yet. One more boarder to put on and I'll start quilting. Hoping to have it ready for the Lady Slipper's first gathering next week at the Camp-Inn Camp-outt.

Inspiration ~ I took this picture in the BWCA a few years ago while wilderness camping for a few weeks.

After my long trip home after buying my teardrop ~ with waaayyy too much time to think of mind numbing things on the road ~ I named my new Teardrop "The Lady Slipper".

My initial drawing for the applique ~ I used the one on the left:

Just put the top (not quilted yet) into The Lady to see if she fits !!

Sandy, I LOVE it! How creative you are and what a great idea! Just looking at the picture and not reading anything, I could tell immediately that it was a lady slipper!

.....Very pretty!
