Looking at Grant's Destinations section, check out all the gatherings across the US on the weekend of Sept. 18-20. If somebody wanted to set up a virtual computer gathering, it looks like they'd just need to add one or two on the west coast:
September 17-20, 2009 Finger Lakes Region, NEW YORK at Sampson State Park in the Finger Lakes Region of NY.
September 17-20, 2009 Milford, MICHIGAN at Camp Dearborn in Milford, MI.
September 17-20, 2009 Montello, WISCONSIN at Buffalo Lake Campgrounds
September 18-20, 2009 Lexington, NORTH CAROLINA
at High Rock lake Marina & Campground in Lexington, NC.
September 18-20, 2009 Kirkland, ARIZONA
Some of these are Tin Can Tourists, etc. and not necessarily TD&TTT so we'd have to do a lot of checking to see if it would be okay. But, do we have enough computer-savvy people in each place to even pull off something like this? I don't know.... However, even if we don't do it this year, it might be worth watching and thinking about for some other year.
So, this may be just an idea to keep in mind....
