Good Morning My Lady Buddies! Today is Aunti M's Birthday! Gage too. :new-bday:

Sam, I am glad you finally got to come out of the closet! That was definately a tight squeeze - like camping in a Teardrop.

:applause:  That's cute Sam. I am trying to get the garage heated so I can make a youth bed for the granddaughter. I think I have enough wood left just need heat and to paint inside.

Very nice Sam!!! I love it!

I have been holing up in my shop as much as I can, madly trying to finish up the trailer before camping season. This past weekend we finally had a little bit of sunshine (highly unusual out here in Winter), so I had a chance to take care of cutting some things outside (no room in my shop to do it). I skinned the roof of the tear (two layers 1/8" birch), I cut out the hatch spars, I cut out spars for the lid of the tongue box, I cut out the sides for the tongue box, and I cut out and laminated the countertop! I have to get some photos to share with you all. Now I need to fill in staple holes on the roof and get it ready for epoxy and paint. I can actually lie on top of the teardrop now, and it holds my weight wonderfully! I am really hoping for one clear day this coming weekend, so I can cut out the remaining parts for the tongue box and put it together. The most exciting thing I did this past weekend was the countertop! It was so neat to see it in the back of the tear with the little stainless bowl I will be using for a sink!

That's my update for now. I'll be crossing my fingers for another clear day this coming weekend.

Hi Everybody,
Wow you all are keeping so busy.

Sam: I really like the wine holder hows it stand up? How's the weather over there?

Amy: Thank you so much for the Magazines when I get them no one will see me for days cause I'll be reading and scheming. BTH I just love the way you teardrop is comming out.

As for me I am sooo excited, because I am going to see a teardrop up close for the first time today. :applause: Pam is coming through Albuquerque and I'm going to have dinner with her today. This is just too cool.

See Ya Later

Mandy

PS
Auntie M: How is everything going with you? Hows your Mother I pray that she is doing better. Are ya getting cabin fever yet?

Mandy thank you for asking and I am definitely getting cabin fever and definitely getting better. Got to get new glasses cause my site is returned and seems better.

Mom is doing great. She is staying with my sister who had some now grown children with challenges so they are helping her. They love it! :) Her hip is healing nicely and Visiting Nurses sends out their Physical Therapist. She is technically on the pay roll still.

We have a fine mist now after a morning of freezing rain so----I am giving up on the bed today. Gotta get a car in out of the weather. :( I need a workshop.

Hi Ladies, I've got some good news. My husband got a new job. He is changing careers. He is in trainning to get his CDL driving license. He is going to be a bus driver. Everyone in my family says A BUS DRIVER!. He will be working for the RTA in Corpus Christi. He' taking a cut in pay but the benifits are better then the job he got laid off from.No more getting hot and dirty. The old job was killing him.He has not had a migrain for the last month. He feels so much better getting away from all that welding on chemical hoses. No telling what he was breathing so thank you all for the prayers. I did get my tear roof skinned this last week and some varnishing on doors. Next is to get the hatch built. Please see my album. You ladies rock.  Peg

Congratulations!! :applause: I'm sure your husband will be much happier at his new job and it will be so much better for him being away from the toxic atmosphere.

Love the progress you're making on the teardrop! You'll have it on the road before you know it. Image

Yea! Peggy better insurance is a great thing. Bus driving can't be all that bad. My daughter did it for the school district, and my younger sister does it now. 8)

Great progress on the td. Beautiful doors too Peggy.

Thanks Mandy,Sonar37, and Auntie M.After 6 weeks of on the job trainning he will get his own bus route for the city. Sometimes it's the whole package you have to look at not just the amount of money. He is very excited to get the job. It has been a tough month for us. It will be better in 90 days once we get insurance again. The RTA has a health center for the guys and gals to workout after work if they want to. He has already lost 12 lbs this month from worrying about not having a job. Thanks girls for your kind words. :D Peg

That's great news Peggy!

And it's good to hear things are looking up for Auntie M, too!

Mandy, tell all. Was the Cherry Drop what you expected? It is one of the first tears I saw, too. I love it.

Oh, and the wine thingy is held up strictly by balance. The board stands at a 45 degree angle, with the weight of the bottle holding it in place.
