Well Tuesday is the big day. The zoning meeting at 6:30 PM.
We shall see !
OH another lesson learned. I went with old school logic for our area. If possible orient the short side of any building to the local
storm tracks.
I sat the trailer NNE to SSW to place the 8x sides to the normal storm flow for wind. It is a real good thing. Thursday night we had
some wild storms with good sized hail roll thru the area. Friday when I checked on the tiny house I could tell it had been shook a bit
as the counter top which has yet to be fastened down had walked about 5 inches from the wall. There was a large pine limb torn out
of a tree north west of the trailer and deposited 20 yards away in a south easterly direction. My zoning posting sign was well
supported on a pair of 1 x 2.5 pine boards driven well into the ground was snapped off and deposited westerly at the fence line.
This sign is only 24 x 36 but the wind generated enough push to snap both 1 x 2 legs mid way between the sign and the ground.
The path take by both casualties indicated the storm was directly into the front of the caboose. No damage what so ever and
I feel real good about that.
Guess this wasn't much of a target.......
