I was reseaching home made tents which lead me to tarptents then Then small portable heaters and found an interesting candle heater made with flower pots then I entered in "homebuilt cheap portable heater" and got this shot which I could not resist.

I found this shot and opened, I ended up in Wired magazine some how in it was a story about small affordable housing. In that I found small house society

as for the candle this interesting design I tryed a simple one and it does do a good heating job. look at the pixs several views of the same thing.

Some teardropers use candles to heat their trailers using tin in upper corners with vents leading outside only heat stays in no fumes.

But, be very carefull with open flames!

I can't remember the guy's name, but at LCG III, I got some very good advice about TD heaters.

A simple electric blanket is one of the safest "heaters" for a teardrop.
