2022 Marches on.... I really hate de-construction but some times it is just necessary. After the front office was installed I was never happy with the task lighting. My little $2.00 Goodwill desk lamps were no longer what I wanted. I found these LED lights and BOOM ! these suckers are bright.....



Here is the de construction.....





When completed they will have an egg crate grill and will be up in the ceiling recess on each side of the desk !

It sure took care of a major storage problem with a very tiny wasted space . I keep finding tiny voids and they drive me nuts till I find a use for them.....

Well after a month of procrastination and 2 days on a ladder , the mystery of the non functioning ceiling fan has been solved. Thank the lord the damaged wiring was not encased in the drywall routed to the fixture. The damn fuzzy tailed tree rats actually chewed thru a heavy extension cord that would have been so darn easy to fix ( had I noticed it ) . Dumb Bob had to completely disassemble and remove the ceiling fan to check for loose wire nuts and to determine there was or was not power at the fan. There was not. So I was sure the wiring in the wall was a victim of the squirrels. I stared at it for weeks knowing pulling new wires in, had a 50/50 chance of success since some dummy put the two stranded feed wires thru about a 3/8 inch hole that was routed thru 3 two ply plywood trusses. When I built the caboose I installed 2 duplex outlets one on each side of the tiny. These were to feed the lighting fixtures to be chosen later. I now have under cabinet lighting, eyeball ceiling fixtures, a feed to the fan in question, and some rope lighting. So to accomplish this I plugged in the eyeball lamp and a power strip which I let exit the ceiling and lay on the cabinet top out of sight. Well the feed to the ceiling fan needed an extension so I used a old AC power cord that was heavy duty to take the power from the strip to these two feed wires. Seems the little nick in this extension was actually a bite mark that severed the neutral wire. My ol knees hate ladders and it took about 6-8 trips up and down on each of the two days to get things back up and running. BUT IT LIVES

I was thinking of you today, as I was pulling half a sheet of 1/2" plywood out of a new home construction dumpster to use on my current build. You could write a book, " How to scavenge for fun and profit, the Bob Henry way". Keep it up.

Well the year has gone almost full circle ..... It was Oct 25th last year when I fired up the heater for last winters heating season. Wednesday the 12th this year I decided it was cold and I could use a little heat so I fired up the mister heater propane wall heater. He was a good guy I simply held down the pilot button to a count of 50 to purge the air from the line and snapped the ignightor and held down for a count of 10 to warm the thermo-couple and boom I had heat. I love these little heaters

WHAT IS WITH MY LIGHTING GREMLINS? Once again the lights are out. Still paranoid about the fuzzy tailed tree rats in my ceiling I just knew I had been sabotaged again. The range hood light and the light in the display cabinet both quit. Again I waited 3 or 4 days to think the repairs thru. Well I was sure I would be removing a portion of the ceiling to make chewed thru wire repairs. I finally steeled up my resolve and attacked the project. First effort was to change out the bulbs. First the cabinet and low and behold it worked. Now I am more than curious since both light are on the same circuit how were they both out. So continuing on I replaced the bulb in the range hood. Boom we have light. What are the odds both bulbs decided to die at exactly he same moment and why am I so paranoid about the damn squirrels. Life is good in the caboose once again.
