Coleman Lanterns are too bright!

I buy red glass because they are hecka cool, but I also do it because Coleman lanterns are way too bright. The red glass will make it so I can really use my old lanterns when camping. One old 220 will light the whole damn campground.

Kirk....sounds like you have been hanging around Dean B a bit too much....he has a "Coleman mallet". It's a 10" dia. log with a handle on it...he always threatens to smash a lantern with it as he hates the brightness of them. I think reflectors are great...to bounce the light his way. I always wondered just what might happen if one were to smash a lantern running full tilt with plenty of pressure in it. I think it wouldn't be a good idea. Others opinions may vary. Doug

I will have to take my Tilly with the parabolic reflector on it to a gathering with him. It is almost a car head light. It uses every bit of a 500 CP mantel.
