It’s a 1946 242C. I had a 1947 242c with a brass fount that I had picked up for parts( .50 cents). After a cleaning, I found a stress crack on the fount and rust on the bottom that the fuel would seep out near the date stamping – bummer – it even had the “Coleman sunshine of the night” stamped on the fount. I kept it for the parts and my search yielded another 242C – however the collar did not have the model number stamped on it, nor was it worn away and it didn’t have the stamping on the fount either so I’m not exactly sure what it is, but seems to be a 242C – oh well Off it went to the stripper and look what emerged

The globe is not right, but I'm not a collector, but a USER. Think I’m gonna keep the brass finish on the fount – if it becomes valuable enough to warrant a paint job – then it’s an easy solution
