Wow...great collection. Love the colors of that stuff.

I've started collecting vintage Tupperware, only for nostalgic reasons. I had the idea to stock my TD with it. Love finding pieces my mom had in our kitchen when we were growing up. Just makes me happy, and it's not an expensive collection. :)

That's what's fun on a lot of this sort of thing. Everyone had it, and if it brings back some fun memories, why not get some? It's cheap and can be found almost anywhere. Steve E and Patty also picked up some of those anodized aluminum tumblers that we all used to have....We are going to swap some pieces. Remember those? Got ice cold to touch and sweated all over everything...Mom hated them. I used to drink fizzies out of them all the time....(No, it wasn't laced with anything, I just act like it was!) Had to say that before someone beat me to the punch! Doug

My family went first class on the dishes -- Corningware, baby! 8)

White, with a green floral pattern. Guaranteed to suck the heat right out of any food you placed on it.

Remember these Fire King Tulip Bowls? I have this set going on eBay soon. If anyone is interested, PM me.

Doug, I had forgotten all about those old aluminum tumblers I have of my grandmothers.
We use the pitcher to fill the pot on the wood stove and the tumblers were high up in storage.
Jane just asked where they came from.
I'll put some in the teardrop galley  .
Thanks for reminding me. :D Danny

Melmac is destroyable. When I was in high school, mom said come fix your plates, my brother said its not broken, then took his melmac plate and slammed it down on the table and it broke into about a dozen pieces. Don't worry though, it was the ugly 70's 80's stuff with flowers on it.

Just saying ice tray gives me the shivers, that sound of cracking ice always sent a shiver up my spine for some reason.
No my brother didn't get in trouble, Mom just laughed, we still laugh about to this day, at Thanksgiving and Christmas Mom is very careful to say come and "prepare" your plates.
