Vagabond Jug

Found this old jug tonight at St. Vincent De Paul. We really didn't need another jug, but the price was right and it's unusual. Has a brass nozzle, aluminum cover and inner seal is rubber and aluminum. This sucker is heavy, I think the inside is porcelan. The rubber seal stinks to high heaven like mildew. Going to try soaking it in warm water and baking soda.

I believe those are glass lined. I would fill it up with water & a couple tablespoon of bleach.

Most likely prcelan lined...that's why it's SO heavy Looks to be in great shape !

I bought one just like the one you just posted...ther is a whole set of vagabond camp gear out there and I was gonna collect em all...now ...not so much. I have started an ALL aluminum set and it's goin swimmingly ! I got a cake carrier today along with an ice bucket.
