Aladdin M1942 Single Burner Stove

While looking at some camp pots at an estate sale, came across a couple of pots with these stoves in them.

I was only able to obtain 2 of the stoves.
Aladdin1944 M1942 model.
Haven't found much on them as of yet.
Heading out to try to light one off.
Let you know how that works out.

p.s. earlier in the day, same sale, I missed by 2 or 3 minutes a nice Svea or Primus type stove that went for $.50!!

How'd it go Russ? Those look like nice examples, did they make fire? Don't leave us hangin' here, we gotta know.... ;)

It took a bit but both fired up. The cleaner one didn't perform quite as well as the sooty one.
Both spit and farted a bit and didn't render an even burn even after 10 minutes or so. Maybe a little cleaning and a longer harder burn.
I'll keep one and sell the other. Wish I'd been able to snag that third one.
