Went back to the guys place from yesterday and bought these...I think it is a great start to my new collection.

242C Lantern with the chrome bottom has 4 11 on bottom
242C Lantern with green bottom has 8 5 on bottom

228F Lantern has 6 5 on bottom

426B Stove 3 Burner.... (cant find any stamp numbers or just dont know where to look) Going back monday to get red fuel tank.

Well I think i did pretty good for the first time out buying. Enjoy looking.
Anyone out there can tell the year on these Lanterns would be great thanks. :thumbsup:

Aghhh! I'm so envious of these finds... a three burner stove and a couple of 242s. Man, those are on my wish list.

Welcome to the boards, sir! I see you're just over the hill. We're in L.A... My wife and I sometimes day trip through Lockwood Valley and hit the 33 for a bite to eat back over in Ojai. May we turn right instead and come see your trailer sometime? Don't let me see the lanterns and stoves, though; I might caress them.

Nice finds, all desirable additions. I'm with Chris, the 242s are on my short list too, they're great and yours look well kept. The 426 is an earlier model, they didn't stamp the dates on them then. But I can venture it's from the 50s. Good job :thumbsup:

I am really happy to report that my 426B fired right up and burned like a champ. All three burners worked well. :applause:
