yep 1944! :thumbsup: WWII era stuff has some interesting changes. Like most everything was painted instead of plated because nickle was being used for war production items. Much less brass used too. Early 242s had that style of top bolt from what I've read.

The guys over on the CCF would like to see this one, love the oddities.

I oiled up the pump leather, used the fuel cap from my 500 stove. Put on a mantle I have. Probably to small. Put fuel in it and it fired right up.

Then I had to tighten the packing nut on the cleaning lever. It now doesn't leak and still turns properly and it will shut off the fuel supply so i figure it is working.

Now to get some fuel cap gaskets for these small caps.
