Stoves take up more real estate! Can't get them all into a pic, while I have both stoves and lanterns...I'm more of a stove person. Shown in pic 1 on right is a restored Pre-Way Handy Chef 1927. Left is a restored Coleman 417B 1940. Little one is a 1954 500A Speedmaster.
This pic has a 425, 1948 painted to match the Nomad, on left is a 415C 1947 in progress.
This pic has on left, 1929 Coleman 2E stove oven combo restored, and on right 1932-1934 Pre-Way Model 109 to be restored, courtesy of Woodbutcher.
Not shown...425B 1954, 413D 1950, 413G 1965, 424 2008 and I think there are a couple others in the garden shed, parts stoves.
For me...there is something really satisfying to take an object, that can be up to 80 years old, that someone doesn't want or have a use for anymore, spend some time/effort with it, and nurture it back to life, with a minimal cash outlay. It's just a little bit of camping history that we can save. I've had senior campers in a campground tell me that "they had one just like it". Makes it worthwhile for me. Doug
