found a 425E and a griddle!

Today was a banner day for Thrift shopping!

First, this nice 17", Made In USA, Griddle. It was marked $10, but when I went to pay, it was only $5. 50% off day!

Also found a Coleman 425E, looks to have only been fired a couple of times, dated 9 73, that I picked up for $19.99. I am one happy shopper today!

Good score Cliff. I'm kinda on the look out for a griddle like yours and also a waffle dog maker. Oh ya and a cornbread pan.

Nice finds...on the griddle....if'n it were me, I'd not get too carried away with trying to do bacon on it. Ham, maybe some sausage, hashbrowns eggs and hotcakes are OK...but when Kevin and I did up 1# of bacon on a large griddle that filled a 3 burner 426....once cooled, we had "greasecicles" all over it. Totally trashed the stove, but it was cleanable...glad it wasn't mine... It needs to be dead level for something like bacon and have a fairly high lip or drip tray. Other griddles may differ. Great bargain day Cliff! judging by the soot, Looks like you better clean the spiders nest out of the stoves air passage.

Cliff you did good

I have a 425 of some model that I have been using since 1988 or so. Has been a great stove.

Very nice Cliff! That little 425 is a beauty. I have a griddle very similar to that one, make the BEST sourdough pancakes. Yep, good day indeed! 8)
