Kevin's 4A iron...

Postby doug hodder » Sun Oct 16, 2011 4:27 pm

Kevin dropped off a box of irons for me to play with and while waiting for paint to dry on my stove...I took one of the better condition ones apart. New turf for me as I've never done one. From the amount of lint that was in it...I'd think they were sort of a fire hazard.

I Didn't take a before pic...but there's not too much to one and they clean up quickly. Some polish, carb tanking and high heat paint and it's done. Haven't fired it up yet, but it holds pressure and everything seems to be in order so it should fire up...I'm thinking I'll go to Home Depot and pick up a sample of the blue in a latex and paint the handle on it.

The well dressed camper ought to have one of these to press their evening wear prior to any potlucks!

That looks great, Doug. I hope you're doing two of them so we both get one. One for you and one for me......

Those irons are very cool. That one is particularly attractive. Great work. [/b]
