The reference to Hai Karate actually made me laugh out loud. The dog gave me a funny look...

Glad you got a laugh out of that...so what were the "chicks" wearing then? I couldn't tell as we took a bath in the Hai Karate!

I'll have a "pop up" about 3 in the morning and come up with the name of the stuff that Chris, the girl in math class always used to wear....oh wait here it is....Jungle Gardenia!!!! I think that's it. Doug

I love "pop ups" in my head...too bad they are all stupid stuff!

Damn, I can't think of the name, even though I can remember the smell. Guess I have a research project now cuz it will drive me nuts...

It's kinda funny how that sort of stuff never seems to change. I was in a drug store the other day and some kids, about 8th grade were buggin mom about buying them some AXE body spray....gotta love the advertising biz....Mom was telling them, they didn't need it....the look on their faces was just crestfallen...poor kids. They may never get the chance to smell like a pimp!

Smart mom, that one. I remember Jungle Gardenia, but Heaven Sent and Oh! De London were really popular for a while. I taught middle school for five years and the AXE was so thick in the halls, it could kill ya. Glad that elementary kids don't wear cologne.
Don't forget to put Jade East and Canoe on your Christmas list,Doug!
Maybe we should invent Eau de Teardrop, a mixture of kerosene, Coleman fuel with a pine undertone, it would sell like hotcakes at a gathering

Crazy thread hijack....thanks for trip down memory lane.

I sure hope you're not gonna start collection' THAT! I always wonder about stuff like that on eBay. The shelf life for fragrances is short, certainly not anywhere close to 45 or so years. Of course, I also saw a lantern on eBay being referred to as "vintage" and had the plastic ring that holds the 1# propane canister-go figure.
