New find

Postby rainjer » Sun Nov 13, 2011 12:26 am

I found this JC Higgins lantern case this last week. These are super rare. I have only seen on on eBay. It was made for the blue Sears JC Higgins lantern.(The case is lighter blue that it shows in the picture.) It fit the 2 mantle version.

I need to find a lantern to go in it. It was empty when I found it. I found it at a 2nd hand store. They told me if there was a lantern in it, it was thrown away. They cannot have gas lanterns in the store.

A 2nd hand store that throws something away? I would say they are not ver creative and should not last long.

Did you give them your number so they could call you to rescue them from those evil gas lamps?

I agree, what they really need is a hazardous lantern disposal expert...

I have the lantern for that box. Maybe you should just pack it up and send it my way.
Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? Ask yourself these simple questions every time you are in doubt about any action.
