Another stove

Got this at a sale this summer. The condition is really good and it is complete except for the fuel bottle. So I will be on the hunt for one of those.

This is an extremely cool stove. These old Perfection stoves are very popular and you can often times find the fuel bottles on eBay. I really hope you find one. Where are you going to use it?

It burns Kerosene. I don't know what I will do with it either. But it was just so nice I grabbed it. I have resisted buying a bottle off Ebay because the bottles are selling for way more then I bought the stove for. I'll find one. The sad part is I have had a few of the round bottles that went in different model stoves like these and threw them out. I had no idea they were worth anything. Nor did I even know what they went to. It's the old story, you should never throw out anything!

Before you people ruined my life I had a white gas stove and lantern. I tossed them in the garbage to get propane stuff because it was so much better! Now look at me.

That's a really nice stove...looks like the porcelain is in decent shape on it. I saw one very similar 2 summers ago, but he was just stupid on the pricing on it. I let him keep it. Nice find! Doug

Thanks Doug, It is real clean. Just wish it was complete. But that gives me something to hunt down. The hunt is a big part of the fun! Wouldn't ya know it, the round bottles are way easier to find then the rectangle ones are.

Great find! What do the bottles look like? I found a couple at an antique store about 80 miles from here. don't know the price but could look next time I'm through.

Here is one on Ebay. But out of my price range. The metal end (stopper) needs to work. There is a spring under the plunger.

I think the one I saw was round. I will look next time throught though.
I bet if you're patient a cheap one will pop up on ebay.

I may have a source for that tank. I'll ask this week when I am over there.

Thanks Lazybones for the offer. Mark, that is the right bottle and the price is better but with shipping it is still 45 bucks. I need to find a cheaper one. I am not in a hurry. I'll keep looking.

Ha!

Cool style!
It sort of looks like two garbage disposals mounted in there!
