whatever..somehow we are going to score big like Lee some day!!! I'll have a whole gold bond setup!!!

Ok, maybe not. Maybe I'll be lucky and get my 3 common lanterns working and sell my Aristocrat trailer to a good home AND get a good tow vehicle!! I would settle for that!!

You got that right. Someday at Denios there will be a grandkid of a Coleman nut with a gold bond collection yelling " Dusty Lanterns Two For Ten Bucks!"

I cleaned up the most ratty lantern today. Cleaning was the easy part. Boy was this thing fussy. ( 18' shooting flames) I went through three mantels taking it apart and putting back together. I just about gave up after a couple of hours of this.
Then it lit and burned bright. My Mojo must have finally kicked in. LOL
One down four to go.

Yo!

He shoots... HE SCORES!

Way to go, Lee.

Those Mil Specs light w/ just 10 to 12 strokes; they're low-pressure starters. You may of course add pressure after they've come to temp, but much more than 25 total strokes and they're really loud. The more pressure, the louder they get.

I'm about to try a 200A burner cap w/ screen on one of my two 252s. They don't come that way because if running leaded, the screens would clog, apparently.

Oh, btw - this is Chris/200Apples. Hee!

:D

Really cool purchase.

Don't you love when you find a new place that seems like no one else knows about it? It can make you feel like.... "Hurry up... buy everything before someone else discovers it!".

Good luck on the repairs and cleanings.

Thanks for they positive reactions to my finds. I now have all four of these lanterns cleaned up and working. I have one more Mil Spec that is missing the generator nut then it should work also.

Chris, Good to see you over here. I have the lighting of these animals down now. That makes me happy!

Barbara, I will bring as many as I can haul safely. It seems Doug has voted me the organizer of the light up. LOL He likes to put the flame under my feet. LOL
