Hey Dragonfire!

Here's your 8-71 220F lantern. She brought it up to Fallen Leaf Lake, all cleaned up and ready to go. We swapped out the check valve while camping, but It wouldn't fire up, not pushing air/fuel...I brought it home and found a big wad of stuff in the brass valve body back where it flows past the needle. It took the torch cleaning tips and compressed air to remove it. That's why people should check their lanterns at home prior to the IRG..we won't have 125# of compressed air there. A new gennie would be nice on this one...but I'm out. At least it's a runner for you. Doug

What is its name? The lantern. It must have a name.

Doug are you sure about not having 125# of compressed air at IRG? Isn't Kurt going? I figure he's full of more air than that! :D Just teasing but your both great guys for helping others as much as ya'll do!

Cliff
In God we trust, shoot the rest and he will sort out!

Did you put you name on the waiting list? There may be slots opening up as we get closer.

Yes I have let Joanie and Dean know that I wish to be on the list. We shall see. I was thinking I may just get a hotel room in Eureka and crash the camp for the light up.

There has got to be a way you can camp nearby...it wouldn't be the same without you!!

The lantern..it's called the turtle. Mom kept getting water on it every time I had the paint out to dry..it was just a green fount and it looked like a turtle, so that's the name! Crazy, but it works.

Nice to see the thing burning again..I just didn't want to give up on it..looking forward to getting it back at the IRG!

Meanwhile...may be moving the headquarters of DragonFire Root Beer...found a place I want to see..need to get an agent..and hopefully be on the move before too long!

Thanks Doug for your hard work...maybe when I move I can finally set up a scooter/lantern workshop and have real tools!!
