I plan on using it..it's not a shelf queen. It's going with me to all campouts from now on..and my 'new' 220E (8/56) that Kirk gave me at the Dam..(thanks Kirk!!)..so I want it working safely and properly.

Any suggestions? Or just go with it for awhile..the lantern does not look like it was used much at all..but still don't need a firebomb!

Your 275 is not in the firebomb catagory. Just use it. You should have 0 problems.

This back to the real world stuff really sucks. Teardrop decompression is very difficult to come back from. I went from skipping down the trail to food, fishing, and campfire to pressure cooker.

I'm with Kirk on just using the 275.
Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? Ask yourself these simple questions every time you are in doubt about any action.

I have several 275's. They both work great. I can't tell a difference between them. I just bought another today. Didn't even check 275 or275a.
They do seem to burn great. It is hard to get past the color though.

Ok, folks, while you were all playing at the Dam, I was out hunting up some bargains. Portland is a garage sale mecca, if you didn't already know that. I'm hoping I can upload my pic successfully.

the red 220 $5.oo an 11/74 if it's your birthday lantern, PM me.
a replacement globe (not shown) $1.00
the stove $5.00
The large beverage cooler $1.00
The small cast iron pan $2.00
A lot of fun for $14.00!

Maureen- That is a huge score! The lantern is a 200A. So that means you are an official 200 a Gang Member. How does that feel? Also that lantern has a locker on the bottom. It may be full of goodies. The locker alone is worth what you paid for the lot. Way to go.

WOW! Great deals. How about we send you some $$$$$$$ and you shop for the rest of us. I don't find stuff that cheap very often. Good job and I'm glad you are not shopping where I live!

Wow a $2 200A? Around here that would buy you one with no globe, crappy beat up vent and rusted out fount. Good score for $14.

Wow!! I hope I come across something like that soon!! Great find!!

So Kirk..does that mean I'm in the 200a gang...you've seen my lantern. I had it before the 275. It was my second one. Even if it does say "TPOOP 123" on it!! It's still a 200a!!

Yes, the locker has a wrench in it! I know it's a 200a, just mistyped. It's actually my second one (other is my birthday)and since I'm not really collecting (remains to be seen, I suppose) it may appear on the raffle table at IRG. Without the safe, or locker, or whatever the correct name, as I will pirate that for myself.
I was pretty tempted to buy some other stuff the 200a guy had, but they were all ones for parts or the brave hearted, but Im not always sure what's worth what with a few exceptions. Obviously, the gold bond would be a no-brainer.
I am happy to be on the lookout for anything specific. I don't always go out to the sales, but there are literally hundreds of them around here every weekend from May to September. That cover a pretty broad area, and you can only be early at a few, so send your wish list and I'll do my best!
