Kirk, those look great and made by Darren. He is an active Teardropper too. He does custom work and It is all great. Check out his Victory Graphics website http://www.victorygraphix.com/

+ 1 I'll add to Darren's skill - he made a custom lantern shade for the green lantern camper for us - It looks great on my lantern.

Went tot he flea market last weekend and bough a whole lot of leather - been making some pump leather disks tonight - I finally got it figured out how to do em'. I just used my upholstery button machine to press them out! Right now they are drying out in the former after being soaked in water.

So that is pre-forming them right Scott? Do you also have some other punches for smaller diameters? The KampKooks take a smaller cup with a smaller center punch and I've been cutting down the Coleman ones to fit. doug

I'm sure I do - I have a complete set of button dies and cutters. After I pre- form the leather blanks - I then stack them in an old pump tube (salvaged from an Coleman) to dry out and hold the form before punching out the center hole. I'll try to get a tutorial together tomorrow to show how it's done

your lantern is an early 327, looks like an Akron vent, and original Coleman amber globe, had to really tell about theburner from the pictures

I'm a lurker here also. :) I check in most days, just don't post much since my trailer is mostly finished.

Thanks for the compliments, I appreciate it.

Kirk
What's up with the globe on the 275? Haven't seen one quite like that!
Also what does the clear globe (looks like a mica) go to?

The 275 Came with several different globes that I have seen. Clear, Frosted band like mine. And Frosted dashed band. There maybe more I dont know. The small Mica is for the 200 size lanterns. It is not something that was Coleman original. They fit the 242 and 200A. Super cool old school look. Got it at oldcolemanpart.com. 8)

I saw it there just sitting alone, what is a keeper to do? I brought it home, now its warm and free to be itself. 8)
