Hey, I just saw this thread. If you haven't figured out how to get that stove to fire up here is how I light my Optimus 80 which has pretty much the same stove inside it. I fill an eye dropper and 1/2 full with white gas. ( never auto gas of any kind in those ). Make sure the fill cap is back on proper. Open the valve up a turn or so. Then i put the eye dropper of gas in the indentation in the top of the tank where the burner screws in. Then set the stove on fire. You should get a jet of flame out of the burner in a few seconds and in just a bit you will know the lovely sound of a buzz bomb in your camp.

A buck for that 123, fantastic deal. I bet the seller had never packed on their back.

P.S. don't leave the valve key on the valve shaft when using the stove. Unless you like the smell of burned flesh.

Dawn:
I've been wondering if you got that thing running. Like they said, use an EZ out and quit cussing and pulling your hair out. New check valves aren't that expensive. I've got 2 200A's torn down and ready for paint, and a long waiting list of stoves and lanterns still to do.

Ya, you could hold the stove in your hands. And I have a few ideas what else you could hold that will do about as much good. Using the eyedropper is a lot faster and more reliable. Specially in warm weather.

And it makes you open the cap as must be done on every light. Just don't use auto gas or let it burn dry. Burning it dry will char the wick inside of the tank. Inside the tank there is a hunk of cotton rope/twine/wick on the bottom of the stand pipe or what ever you wish to call it to pick up the fuel instead of using a pickup tube like in a coleman.

Thanks all for the tips. I HOPE to get them running in the next week or two. Got a lot of home stuff to do 1st, but then, its Coleman time! Similar to Miller time, without the hangover! Although I will probably have one anyway!
