Mark, that's what I am looking at too. Water clear kero is only $3.50/gal at the local jobber here. Quite a difference.

I've got all the parts together to do a couple, just need to do it. The 200A and 201 are the same lantern except for these parts and the color. The same parts will also do a 242, which I'm hoping to get in the near future. The 242s have a rep for burning a little cleaner than the 200s, less odor.

True. Coleman.com has the new style plastic bottles with the long skinny neck for filling the preheat cups for a few bucks. I was surprised they were so cheap. A little denatured alcohol from the drug store and you're set.

You're right Dave. I try for the stuff that's at least 91%. Some of the lesser stuff leaves some soot from what I've ben told.

Chris, finally got some time to take a few pics. The first one is the one Grandfather gave to me when I was 8. The others are just some of my favorites. Last count I think I have around 110. Some are packed away, but most are used. We are outside most of the time so I have them lit when we are. Go through a lot of kerosene every year




The last picture is my 5 favorite ones I could find in the shop. I put the pack in there to give you a size reference. Shop is a mess right now. Cleaned out the garage so Janny could get her car in for the winter.

Hey, ERV; the departure of your latest acquisition has been delayed... forgive me. I'll get to it! I had some mother-in-law stuff to do w/ the wife, AND I went and picked up another vintage Coleman for myself. Hee hee hee.

I spoke w/ the fella that wanted to give it to me; he gave his blessing on passing it your way... and if I recall correctly, it looks just like the lantern in the second pic in your post above.
