You can get it to buff up real nice if you want. Check out my thread "Coleman Find of a Lifetime" and see what the lanetrn looked like before I sanded it down and polished it with Mother's Chrome and Mag Polish with little effort...! Just a thought!

Thanks everyone, I'm so happy it works!

Mark the fount on this one looked a lot like that one and others I had seen. I had high hopes it was ok under the crud but after clean up what you see is what we got.

Next project is lighting the 228E that looks like it should work.....then rebuilding the 425 stove.
