Doug all I can say is......WOOO HOOO That turned out great! I had to mix my own color to come up with what I liked, but if I had found that it would have been easier. What brand of paint is it? :applause:

Thanks! I cheated....didn't use the detail gun on it....just rattle can. It's Rustoleum "painters touch" sage green. After looking at the pits in the metal and some of the dents that I couldn't dolly out, I decided that I didn't want to make a career of filling and sanding with a high build primer. Available at HD, sprays at any angle, dries pretty quickly. Doug

thanks guys....and after a number of PM's with another forum member and watching E-Bay with them vigilantly this evening, it appears that we may have another member that has given "birth" to a vintage camping stove. I'm not at liberty to divulge the recipient yet, but I'm sure they will chime in and provide pics of their new baby as soon as they receive it. It's really a nice stove, and will really be a show piece.....If the new parent decides to share the news...have at it. Doug

Doug,

That really turned out nice. I'm still looking for a "junker" to fix up like that. I enjoy taking old stuff and making them like new again! Again, great job!

Doug, you've got your own camping gas appliance museum.
It's obvious they have found an excellent steward for their old camping gear.
Nice score.:D Danny

Doug, the lantern on the right looks a little rough. I'll be interested to see what it looks like once you've worked your magick on it. And I agree, mayhaps you should start your own museum of of antique camping gear.

Yeah......it's got some rust issues. I think that one will be the one that gets painted to match my trailer, since I have to do a complete repaint on it, might as well make it custom.... I also always make sure they get some pics of whatever item they give me when it is done. Lets them know it went to a good home and didn't end up on e-bay. Doug

That's the 69 228F. I like that big ventilator they have. Enameled white on the underside, does take up more space than a lot of the others however. Doug

I haven't measured the HAT part but it seems like about 11" - 12" at the edge and Yep it's white on the underside. I have never fired it up. I need to get a generator and pump rebuild kit. Just incase it might need one later. Also there is not a scratch or speck of rust or corosion on the lantern I have. ;)
One of them YARD SALE things at the right price. ;)
