Coleman Keepers Campfire come on in!

Lanterns, stoves, etc... anything old!

I may have to steal some if these rules for my family camping spot. I will have to add a couple to the "no speaking of" list... Politics and religion... Especially politics.
To err is human, to really foul up requires a computer

You say one is not expected to bring tribute, however, if your name is kevin and you bring cookies, there is a special place in heaven...just saying

+4 to the rules. However, the sink one has me a bit worried, is it made of gold?

Kirk...actually the sign reads "Hoderville" because my name was misspelled in the Teardrop book. George made the sign for me and he made the "Camp Cupcake" sign for Sue and Shelly. I used to have a "mongo like" sign from Cowboy and Kevin as there was once a character around out at Dillon Beach that we named "Mongo". For those of you that haven't seen Mongo in a while....here he is!

rules, schmules... we don't need no steenkin' rules!

While I appreciate 'getting away from it all'... I'm too reliant on my iOS devices to totally leave them behind. That being said, I do appreciate kicking the feet up, and reading a good book for a day or two and unwinding. Looking forward to that one of these days.

"Tequilla Sunrise" Rule: If you are drinking coffee in the morning, there must be some tequilla in it! (... as a tribute to my dad)

If you prefer Scotch, Bourbon or another form of Whiskey in your coffee, it is considered to be within the "spirit" of the rule and you will not be shunned. However, see rule #3: Out of control drunks are not allowed.

Kirk, LMAO.

The motorcycle camping club I am in has only 2 rules.

Rule #1 There are no rules.

Rule #2 See rule #1.

Thats it. No elections, people volunteer to run it, there are dues to pay for the newsletter. But if you forget just show up at the camp outs anyway. People put on camp outs and they may have rules for their bit but that is about it. Club has been running since the early 70's I joined in 78 or so.

Mongo has some style.

More of the Camp Siduri saga to come, but first people are expecting me to work! Can you believe that. Heavy loads next few days.

Debbie - Its not made of gold I just like it to stay clean. Last summer at a family camp I went to use it after several folks used it for washing dishes and the drain had several inches of spaghetti jammed in the drain! Where did they think the spaghetti was going to go?

In to the garbage disposal, you silly boy! Just like at home! Your point is well taken. One of the several reasons i do not have a sink in my tear. Good rule. Leave kirk's sink be.

Hmm, i do believe Kirk started this here thread with a riotous discussion of rules. His latest musings seem to be in keeping with his original intent. Fun with camping, even if not specifically about lanterns or stoves this particular time. Carry on, Kirk! amuse the masses. :D :ilovecamp:

Having said that I do believe what I have said about camp Siduri. Just come to my camp or ask someone who has. 8)

Hmmm..Rules of Camping..

Treat others like you want to be treated..
Make sure Humidor and Mini bar are stocked well..
Come Friendly and bring extra chairs for impromptu fireside chats..
Extra Hotdogs, marshmallows, jalepeno poppers and ice..
Bring extra food and hope a D.O. Potluck happens.. :worship:
DVD Player, Video Projector and a Large White Bed sheet for movie night..
If youre going to light more than 1 Coleman Lantern be sure you are surrounded by like minded people.. 8)
Leave your troubles at home and RELAX !!

The only "rules" at any of my campouts...campers must use/ possess some semblance of common sense. Stupid behavior, alcohol fueled or otherwise that may endanger or damage others or others equipment won't be tolerated. Doug
