If it's any consolation - I may make IRG. We did the CRA event last summer and met some forum folks from the east coast - now we need to see some folks out west! ;)

I might try to make it to the Dam gathering. Its a straight shot down I-5, around 7 hours for me. If I can figure out how to get time off, I'll do it.

Slow...while we don't have an official date for the IRG, typically it's the 2nd-3rd week of July, we won't have a date till the first work day of 2012. I don't know what stuff you're planting, but if you could get someone to run your irrigation and got your fences and equipment in good repair, you could maybe make the trip.

It's really more of a vacation than a camping trip. I look at it this way...I don't suppose that fuel is going to drop through the summer or at all ever again like back to 2.50$ gas...so why not? Cruising at like 60 in the Ranger will get you decent mileage and you won't get mentally beat up trying to haul A$$ there. You owe it to yourself. Just my opinion. Do a Map Quest search on the mileage and see if it's something you'd want to maybe do. Just plug in Carlotta Ca. for your ending location. Doug

Ok, finally rounded up my plethora of lanterns and stoves.. hehe.. I have 3 lanterns and 1 stove. But they are all my favs!!

The 2006 200a reproduction on the left is my workhorse. The Sears BigHat comes out when we are playing games while camping because the vent shades glare. The Xmas tree sits on my mantle where I can admire it constantly.

As you all know Sunday is fleamarket day. The weather will be cool and clear. The Coleman will be hiding under a old weed wacker and 4 boxes of A&W jr size mugs. I will be there rooting. Go Go out Coleman Keepers and get the Green and Red and bring it HOME. Show us what you got.

Well, if this is to turn into a "chat" thing on Coleman or gas pressure stuff, based on the new title....I finally got the new garage door opener installed after the brown out cooked the electronics on the old one....cleaned up the garage a bit. Finished sanding the KampKook 57 circa 1927 and plan to maybe shoot some catalyzed paint on it tomorrow. Temps should be fine for it. I did a final sand on the primer tonight. I need to shoot some red for the tank and fuel line, and an OD on the body, a lot of gun cleaning for something as small as a stove. All of the other parts are already done for it...It's an original resto...not a custom. Doug

I look forward to seeing it Doug!
Your stoves give me the inspiration to do one of my own.
Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? Ask yourself these simple questions every time you are in doubt about any action.

Know the feeling well - we had to replace the transmitter board to a new frequency since the electronic Gate in our community interferes with the frequencies of the garage door (we are the first home on the block after the gate) - it cut down the distance of operation to almost nothing. We now have a transmitter that works on a military signal (the signal of last resort) that works quite well. Also did some garage cleaning as well.

Oh, so that is what happened to that drone plane that went missing. You opened your garage door
