Stacking them up like cord wood there, Kirk!

The 413E and wood box/220 are especially nice scores. Would have liked to see the look on the guy's face when you slipped that one out from under him!

The guy wasnt a collector he had no idea what it was. I heard them talking and he just wanted a lantern for fishing. He really didnt seem to care when I got it.

The flea that I get most of my stuff from is in a really rough area. Very few collectors go there. The stuff is in piles and really cheap. You just have to watch the Zombies.

Kirk Don’t be giving Shady any guff, Or the BigHat branch of the Green corpse will have to step in and take action.

Nice haul Kirk BTW. The Vents on the 5101 are good replacements for the 201 Vents, and if you ever find a really nice clean empty LP canister let me know, I need one for making an adaptor to get my 5121 working.

I wonder how the leading will hold up against the heat of the lit mantles? If it will last, there are options limitless with this idea.

Me too I was wondering about the heat. I could just see all that lead melting. Just sayin. :NC

Yea Yea so what I have a bunch of big hats too. You cant beat a red vent. Woof woof woof all bark and no bite. The 200A gang is very comfortable in its position as the top dog in this forum. Green is green. Red is top dog. Grrrrrrr. Bite! bite! bite! and took a piece of your shirt as you ran away crying like a little girl. :applause:

Here is the thing. I have tried to be nice and civil and cool. So just go on your way and stop messing with the 200 A gang . I do not want a war but if forced I will dazzle you with the consequences. Save your self and accept that I have allowed the two to exist. Nothing to see here folks just go about your business. :o  8)

Shady and I are friends. If you want a war you had better check with him first. Just sayin. ;)

They were haggling over two dollars when I said " I will give you $15 if there is a lantern in that box". The seller said "SOLD".

This is what was inside.

Its an almost perfect 242. There were also vintage mantles and an old box of matches made from wood. 8) Also the original directions for the lantern were in the box too.

I'm not a big fan of a sniper, taking away something I'm trying to get - but for $2.00? Something about dickering over 2.00 and losing the lantern to a guy who's willing to pay a fair price makes me smile. :)

Good job!

Ted - I too, normally, express etiquette at such functions. Sometimes you just gotta get it.

I must have missed something, but a lit of things go over my head.
I knew life wasn't going to be easy when they made me take second grade over and it didn't get any easier.

It was Junkboy. He just busted out a whole line of big hats in a picture and puffin up the Green Corps. So I had to throttle him a little. 8)

That Green Corps thing really took off. I see that badge all over this forum.

We have to do something different on this thread. The post vs. view ratio is way off. Many people are watching our shenanigans but very few post. Get in people. Tell us about your stuff. This thread is a campfire thread . Its the trust tree for camping . Just lay back and tell us all about it.

A campfire thread is where we just all sit around and tell stories and show off our old camping junk. Anyone can play.
