It was a prototype for a new model the G replacing the 220f and 228f. No real record on how many were made. Supposedly only a handful were made and given out to people to test them. Mostly coleman employees. The only guy that might of known for sure, Herb, pass away last year. The unofficial Coleman musume caretaker. As of now there is one at the coleman repair facility ( I saw it yesterday and got to put my grubby hands on it), and mine. No other have surface. No pictures posted. No published collectors claim to have one in their collections. The repair guy at the museum said in his 25 years being there. He only seen two other come in. One of those two other he seen might of been mine. The guy I got it from worked at coleman as an engineer. With non standard Fuel valve / tip cleaner, check valve, pump housing, and off centered Tank bung, any out there that might of broke got trashed. There is a sticker on the bottom states, If anythings fails on the lantern except the generator for mantels take it to coleman Wichita for a replacement.
EDIT Guy on FB probably meant it was made in
1969 and not 1069 where made.
A guy of facebook said 1069 were made in August 1969, but he can’t back up that number or remember where he heard it. So do not pass up any 220F or 228F aluminum ribbed collar with out making sure it is a 220F or 228F.
As of now the only thing that has surfaces is 220Fs (collars are marked 220F) that have tanks stamped ” 9 model 220G, 228G, 69” on the bottom line. Coleman did believe in throwing stuff away so the rest of the tanks bottoms going to make G’s where were turned back into F’s
I’ll be breaking mine down, or maybe with the help of Cliff at coleman taking detailed pictures of his and posting them for inquiring minds.

Look for the cleaning level sticking out of the collar. It will be at a 90 Degree angle to the valve and to the right. ( not in the back or out from under the globe. ) Picture below and two post up.
